Through storytelling, we build readers, develop voices, and help young people, and the communities around them, imagine what’s possible.

Wonder Creations was born from lived experience.

Growing up in the Bronx, founder Danny Ortiz saw firsthand how access to stories, and the absence of them, can shape a young person’s sense of possibility. In environments where resources are limited and representation is rare, imagination becomes essential. Stories become mirrors that reflect identity, windows that expand understanding, and doorways that invite hope.

Books and storytelling were never just entertainment. they were tools for discovery, confidence, and vision. That experience continues to guide our work today: every young person deserves stories that affirm their voice and expand what they believe is possible.

We believe literacy is foundational, but literacy alone is not enough.

True education nurtures reading skills, imagination, identity, and voice. When young people see themselves in stories, they begin to believe their own story matters. That belief shapes how they learn, how they communicate, and how they imagine their future.

Storytelling helps students build confidence, develop empathy, think critically, and connect learning to lived experience. This is the heart of our approach.

Wonder Creations develops children’s and young adult books, literacy-centered educational content, and curriculum-aligned storytelling experiences for classrooms and learning communities.

Our work supports educators, families, and schools seeking meaningful, engaging, and culturally aware resources that strengthen literacy while honoring identity.

In addition to creating original educational content, Wonder Creations exists to support and develop emerging authors and storytellers, especially those who want to create meaningful, culturally aware work for young readers and learning communities.

We believe authors play a vital role in shaping the stories young people encounter. Wonder Creations is not just a publisher, it is a creative home for storytellers who believe stories can build readers, voices, and futures.

We serve students from early childhood through college age, educators and school communities, families and learning organizations, and emerging authors and creative educators, all united by a shared belief in the power of story to educate, shape identity, and inspire voice.
